Donate to Scholarship Funds

Mt. Mansfield Academy has many scholarships endowed in memory of important members of our community. We are proud to continue their legacy by supporting student athletes in need. 
Keeping the Dream Alive Fund
Awards are given to athletes who show financial need, dedication, discipline, and determination in pursuit of excellence, sportsmanship, and the adventuresome, loyal, and dedicated spirit of Paul “Rat” Reed. Recipients must be competing and training with MMA as a U14 or U16, and current members of the United States Ski Association.

Rohr Family Scholarship
The Rohr Family Scholarship is presented to an athlete who has obtained top results and shows dedication to the sport.

Betsy Snite Riley Award
Presented to a female athlete who is a forward thinking, leader among her peers, displaying sportsmanship.

Jeff Stone Scholarship 
Awarded to one male and one female athlete at the U16 level.
Jeff was an accomplished athlete excelling in both ski racing and tennis.  He was awarded the Austin Kibby Award for sportsmanship along the same year he was named State Champion.  The Jeff Stone Award is determined by the following criteria:
  • Shows achievement as a U16.
  • Displays future potential as a ski racer.
  • Displays sportsmanship & enthusiasm for the sport of ski racing.
Doug Parker Achievement Award
The Doug Parker Achievement Award given to one male and one female is determined by the following criteria: ($500 each)
  • Displays perseverance and a strong work ethic.
  • Shows improvement through the season.
  • Is dedicated to the sport of skiing and ski racing.
Craig Burt Award
This award is given to one male and one female athlete competing at the U18/U21 who excels both athletically and academically.  

George Tormey Scholarship
The George Tormey Scholarship is determined by the following criteria:
  • An athlete who displays a love of the sport.
  • Spirit that reflects the one George shared with those around him.
  • Future as a potential ski racer.
Billy Kreizel Scholarship 
The Billy Kreizel Scholarship is presented to a U16/U19 or U21athlete who is competing at the elite level of their age group.  This athlete also displays strong enthusiasm for the sport.

The Alumnae Award
This recognition is presented to that athlete who is self-motivated, well rounded, and best exemplifies the spirit and philosophy of the Mt. Mansfield Ski Club program.

Allan Coppock Scholarship
The Allan Coppock Scholarship is determined by the following criteria:
  • A willingness to help wherever needed.
  • A sense of humor and adventure.
  • Active involvement in the Mt. Mansfield community.
  • A genuine interest in learning, discovery, and technology.
Paul Biedermann Scholarship
This scholarship is presented to that athlete who meets the following criteria:
  • A young woman who competes at the U14 or U16 level.
  • Demonstrates focus and determination, both academically and athletically.
The Charles F. Black Scholarship
This scholarship is presented to that athlete who meets the following criteria:
  • Displays commitment, passion and dedication to the sport.
  • Is a resident of Vermont.
  • Is a full time student in a Vermont school.
  • Is enrolled in the MMSC Junior Race Program.
The Gutstein Family Scholarship 
This scholarship is presented to a deserving student athlete who attends the Academy and show great commitment and potential.
